The Big Draw - Open Draw
Monday 29 October - Friday 2 November, 12 - 4pm
Free for everyone
We’re opening the gates of the Windermere Steamboat Museum to give all enthusiastic drawers and sketchers out there unprecedented access to the collection, site and scenery. We have a shed full of fascinating boats, we have a conservation studio of conservators busy at work on SL Osprey, and we have the most amazing views out across Windermere. This is a great opportunity to dwell in this magical site and draw. Please note there will be some resources on site, but people are advised to bring their own sketch pads, media, and seats.
This is part of The Big Draw, which is the world’s biggest celebration of drawing. All of the Lakeland Arts Trust venues will become a hive of drawing activity thoughout October, supporting the fantastic Campaign for Drawings ambition to get everyone drawing. This is not just for those children lucky enough to have it timetabled into their lives, but for ALL.
