SL Osprey’s Restoration
All of the original seating has been sanded and applied with eight coats of varnish. Above, the seating and characteristic American black walnut and teak striped planking are being fitted back into SL Osprey. The steam engine has been stripped down, cleaned and restored and will go back into the boat along with the boiler which is awaiting it’s second pressure test. The cabin has be refitted to the hull and further conservation to the stern and propellor shaft area will be carried out over the next few months.
